Go Online And Shop For Best Mobile Phone Deals

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Keith_Rickwood]Keith Rickwood The popularity of Internet has made shopping easier for all of us. You just have to sit in front of your personal computer and log-on to any online shop of your choice, select a product and pay through secured payment gateway and within a couple of days, the delivery is at your doorstep. Another important advantage which Online shopping offers is that, you can research about the market place, look for various options available and then buy a product of your choice and all this, when you are sitting at your home. Surveys by many firms have indicated Internet shopping as popular among buyers in the United Kingdom so much that every Company has its own website where its products are available for buying. Not to be left behing mobile companies(manufacturers, service providers, retailers etc) too have gone online and have websites where buyers can purchase their desired products. The reduction in operational costs as you don’t need much manpower and infrastructure( compared to high-street showrooms) allows these mobile companies to pass on some of the benefits to the customer. The result is, you will get a mobile phone at a lower cost via online shopping than you would have got the same handset in the mobile shop, near your house. If you want to avail the best mobile phone deal available in the webworld then sit infront of your computer and log into any search engine and enter ‘best mobile phone deals’. Alternatively you can also consult any of your friends and colleagues who do shop online and ask for web adresses of a few mobile companies. Its important to make comparison on the prices offered by different sellers. Look for discounts and talktime plans(in case of contract mobile phones). Choose the best mobile phone deal out of the options available and pay either through credit card or through bank account and wait for your order to deliver. This way you will not only save a few pounds but will also save a lot of time. And, before I end it, do check the authenticity of the website before you make any payment. Managing Emotions During Career Change and Job Search, Part One

By Cheryl Lynch Simpson How can you manage your emotions during your career change or job search? To answer this practical and wise question, lets first define what emotions are. Emotions, also commonly referred to as feelings, are energy released in your body in response to perceived events, that is, to data received via your five senses. To build your skill in managing your emotions during your current or next career transition: 1.)Practice Naming Your Emotions. Theres great power in simply naming your emotions as you experience them. Check in with yourself several times a day and name your emotions in a journal or log. Learn to identify the nuances of difference between emotions that are similar. Choose carefully how you name what youre feeling: word choice creates reality! 2.)Allow Yourself to Feel What You Feel. Resisting emotions keeps you stuck in them. Why not do something radical like feeling them? Let the emotion wash over you and it will pass through you infinitely more gently. Feeling your feelings is always easier than resisting them, because emotions grow in proportion to our resistance to them. 3.)Express What You Feel. Unexpressed emotions are like poison trapped in the body. You dont really want to do that to yourself, do you? Let them out! The key here is safety and appropriateness. Find ways to express your emotions that are safe and mature for you and those around you. 4.)Act on Your Emotions. Again, safety and appropriateness are key. Emotions are messengers from yourinternal realityprompting you to take some action. Discover what each emotion wants you to do, then do it, safely. Dont delay, or your emotions will act on you. 5.)Journal. Journal thoughts, emotions, dreams and dialogues. Write letters you wont send. Mine your innards to find the truth within. 6.)Exercise. Physical activity is a great stress reducer and safe way to channel your emotions into action. Whether its a walk or a swim, a bike ride or run, or aerobics or muscle building, it will help you constructively channel your stress into a healthy mind and body. Start slow; be consistent! 7.)Talk to a Safe Someone. Call a friend or family member; find a counselor; try a coach or spiritual director; meet with a priest, pastor or rabbi but call someone! You dont have to bear your burdens alone unless you choose to and why would you choose to? 8.)Use Art to Express Yourself. Paint your panic. Draw your dreams. Write poetry to express the inexpressible within you. Both verbal and nonverbal art forms can help you release what should not be trapped within you. 9.)Use Music to Match Your Mood. You can use music to match your mood and thereby express it, or you can use music to alter your mood when its critical to do so. So, if youre down and need to pump it up, try some rousing rock or Latin music. If youre hyper and need to calm down and center, try baroque, New Age or soft jazz selections. Music can be a particularly powerful way to help yourself relax into sleep or get revved up for your day. 10.)Pray or Meditate Through Your Feelings. Both prayer and meditation are powerful ways to feel and express your emotions. Practice one or the other or both daily. Melatonin, Sleep Enhancement, and ADHD

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Anthony_Kane,_MD] Anthony Kane, MD Overview Melatonin is a natural hormone, which is produced and secreted by the pineal gland. Melatonin plays an important role in the regulation of many hormones in the body. Among its key roles, melatonin controls the body’s circadian rhythm, an internal 24-hour time-keeping system that controls when we fall asleep and when we wake up. Melatonin is also a very powerful antioxidant. In one study, melatonin was 60 times more effective than Vitamin C or water-soluble Vitamin E in protecting DNA from damage. Preliminary evidence suggests that it may help strengthen the immune system. There are numerous claims and theories concerning all the things that melatonin may do and as a result it has become one of the popular life extension and life enhancing supplements that are currently available on the market today. Uses The most accepted function of Melatonin is it role in sleep regulation. Melatonin supplements help induce sleep in people with disrupted circadian rhythms. Melatonin is significantly more effective in decreasing the amount of time required to fall asleep, increasing the number of sleeping hours, and boosting daytime alertness. Melatonin is purported to be one of those miracle substances that has a hand in everything. This may be due to the fact that during the height of the antioxidant craze, Melatonin was found to be a more powerful and more universal antioxidant than both vitamin C and vitamin E. Whatever the reason, Melatonin ostensibly plays a role in numerous health conditions. Here is a partial list: Insomnia Osteoporosis Menopause Depression Eating Disorders Breast Cancer Prostate Cancer Cancer-related Weight Loss Sarcoidosis Rheumatoid Arthritis Epilepsy Sunburn Viral Encephalitis Heart Disease Since a lot of evidence for many of these claims is rather light and since I am not trying to sell you melatonin supplements, I am going to focus only on its role in sleep enhancement. Insomnia As many parents realize, drugs like Ritalin are not without side effects. One of the major complaints that parents have is that their children who take Ritalin can’t fall asleep at night. Many parents report that their children, who may be only five or six years old, are wide awake until 11 pm or later. Melatonin may be able to help these children. Since it is the primary chemical in the body that helps to induce sleep, children who suffer from insomnia often find that Melatonin restores their normal sleep cycle and helps them to be more awake and alert during the day. How to Take It There are currently no guidelines as to how to take Melatonin. Sensitivity to Melatonin is an individual thing and doses that are ineffective in one person may be too much for someone else. The best approach for any condition is to begin with very low doses and slowly add more until you get the effect that you are seeking. In children, it is best to start with a dose of about 0.3 mg/day or less. Although current research suggests that even doses as high as 10 mg are perfectly safe, it is best to proceed with caution. In adults, 3 mg is usually a safe starting dose and you can increase it or decrease it as you see fit. Availability Melatonin is readily available in most health food stores in the United States and it is very cheap. In Europe it is a controlled substance. Most Europeans who wish to use Melatonin find it cheaper and easier to have it shipped from the US. Adverse Effects Melatonin is one of the least toxic substances known. In one extensive clinical trial, a high dose of 75 milligrams of melatonin per day was given to 1400 women in the Netherlands for up to four years with no ill effects. The only consistent side effect of high doses has been drowsiness and a slower reaction time. Other common complaints include: Vivid dreams or nightmares Stomach cramps Dizziness Headache Irritability Decreased libido Breast enlargement in men Decreased sperm count These side effects were in healthy people. We also don’t know how melatonin may affect people suffering from disease. Possible Drug Interactions Melatonin may interact or interfere with other drugs. These include: Antidepressant Medications Antipsychotic Medications: many of these medications are now being used in treating children with ADHD and Bipolar disorder Benzodiazepines Blood Pressure Medications Blood-thinning Medications, Anticoagulants Interleukin-2 Nonsteroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) Steroids and Immunosuppressant Medications Tamoxifen If your child is taking any of these things, you should consult with his doctor before giving Melatonin. Also, caffeine, tobacco, and alcohol can all diminish levels of melatonin in the body while cocaine and amphetamines may increase melatonin production. Conclusion Often children with ADHD have a great deal of difficulty falling asleep. This can be due to the medications that they are taking or just be one component in the spectrum of their problems. When used properly, melatonin may be a safe and effective way to handle sleep problems in ADHD children. Slash Your Grocery Prices with Coupons

By Alli Ross Coupons save consumers hundreds of dollars a year. Smart shoppers take the time to look for, cut out, file, and use coupons on a regular basis. You may be surprised how much money you can save in the long run. Coupons are easy to use when organized efficiently. Coupons should be put into groups such as cereals, fruit, pizzas, paper goods, pet food, baby needs, and anything else that you need frequently. With this strategy, you can easily plan to save money each time you make your grocery list. Simple rules for smart shopping: 1. Always check the prices of similar brands. Another brand may be less expensive even with the coupon. Don’t buy the brand-name item just to use the coupon. 2. If your retailer doubles the face value of your coupons on a certain day, plan to do your major shopping on that day. 3. Always shop with a list and the appropriate coupons based upon what your family uses the most. 4. When filing your coupons, put those with the earliest expiration dates in front so you won’t forget about them. 5. You can really save if you combine the SALE with the coupons! How to store your coupons: You can organize your coupons in an orderly manner for half the cost of an off-the-shelf organizer. Simply buy a 3 - 4 inch three ringed binder and about a dozen plastic baseball card sheets. You can put tabs on the sheets to identify different categories of coupons. Seek out your coupons online and you’re sure to save time. NO more are the days when you had to scour the newspaper, search for usable coupons, clip each one individually, and then sort them so that they could be easily found. No sireee. We live in a digital world. Using coupons can be as simple as typing in a code upon checkout at your favorite online retailer. This is known as a “coupon code” or a “promotional code”. You’ll quickly be on your way to becoming the smartest shopper in your neighborhood. Alli Ross is the webmaster at the Baby Names Box - Where you can explore over 6,000 baby names and their meanings. The Practical Side of the Handfasting Ceremony

By Vlady Peters Theres an awful lot of information about the Handfasting ceremony. Libraries carry books on the subject, specialty shops are selling special ribbons and cords for the ceremony itself, and theyre even producing boxes and porringers which are perfect for holding the ribbons. Yet there are some practicalities that make the Handfasting ceremony something of a challenge. How do you handle all those cords or ribbons before, during and after the ceremony? If youve thought about the Handfasting ceremony but decided you know too little about it to go ahead, heres the practical information you need to make it all happen smoothly and naturally. 1. Cords are easier to handle, so go for those rather than ribbons. However, if youre only going to have one, it could be anything from a ribbon to an exotic piece of material. 2. If you dont want them carried in a container by your attendants, place them on the table with the rest of the paraphernalia either hanging across the table, or in a box or bowl. 3. Decide whether you want to use just one cord, or half a dozen. 4. If you use ribbons, you can have them tied, or wrapped around your wrist. If you have cords, you could have a slip knot which can slide up like a noose. 5. Decide who will do the tying the celebrant or your attendants. If youre using a number of cords, you could have each one tied by a different attendant male and female alternately. 6. When the tying is in the process have either the celebrant speak, explaining what each cord stands for, or leave a card for each of the attendants with the cord. Each attendant will pick up the cord and read the words from the card. 7. Have a rehearsal. The whole handfasting ceremony. Begin where the celebrant calls the name of the attendant, the attendant walks to pick up the cord, returns with the cord, ties the couples hands, and walks back to his or her place. All the actions should be done slowly and ceremoniously. You might even consider having background music while its happening. 8. Inevitably, the cords need to be taken off before the signing of the register. But heres a thought. Although normally hands are tied crossed brides right hand in grooms right hand you might like to consider this. Have only your inside hands tied that is if the groom is on the brides right arm, her right hand, and his left hands are tied. If that happens, instead of removing the cords before the signing, you could continue to be tied during the signing. Probably make great photographs. 9. After the signing you return to where the ceremony began and are introduced as husband and wife. Before that happens, you could make the same ceremony out of the untying, as you did with the tying. Again, everything should be done slowly, and perhaps the celebrant could be saying something then, as s/he did when the tying was taking place. 10. As each cord is untied, it is returned to the place from which the attendant took it in the first place. When the whole wedding party is back in place, the celebrant greets the couple, and invites everyone to come up and give their best wishes to them. And that says it all. Television killed Advertising

By Paul Ashby Ask any advertising person that you know if they have heard of, or read, The Cluetrain Manifesto and most of them will shake their heads with an emphatic no, which is a shame because within this book lies the clue to their demise. Whilst the book is written with the Web in mind, most of what it has to say is true of the communication process itself. So allow us to revisit the Cluetrain Manifesto and apply what they have to say about the world we live in now and the advertising and marketing world as we know it, setting aside the Web for the moment. In the 20th century, the rise of mass communications media enhanced industrys ability to address even larger markets with no loss of shoe leather and mass marketing truly came into its own. With larger markets came higher rewards and these higher rewards had to be protected. More bureaucracy, more hierarchy and more command and control meant the customer who looked you in the eye, was promptly escorted out of the building by security. The product of mass marketing was the message, delivered in as many forms as there were media and in as many guises as there were marketers to invent them. Delivered locally, shipped globally, repeated inescapably, the business of marketing devoted itself to delivering the message. Unfortunately, what all these gurus of marketing did not realise and still do not today is that the customer never fully took delivery! Why, because there is no demand for these advertising messages. Lets face it, consumers dont want to hear from business. The message that gets broadcast to you, me and the rest of the population has nothing to do with me in particular. Consequently, its worse than noise. Its an interruption in my life and like most people, I would rather do without it thank you very much. Just leave me to watch/listen to my program without any facile interruptions. And that is the awful truth about marketing and advertising. It broadcasts messages to people who simply dont want to listen or see it. Every advertisement, press release, publicity stunt and give-away designed by the Marketing Department, or Advertising Agency is coloured by the fact that all their hard work and planning is being presented to a public that doesnt ask to hear or see it. Recently the Sunday Times, in the UK, had this to say about advertising: Things have changed a lot since you used to get 20 million people gathered around television sets to watch Coronation Street and one advertisement could reach them all. Marketing budgets are being spent differently, and this means less money is being allotted for advertising. A couple of million pounds can buy you a few hours on television but marketers are realising that it can buy an awful lot more if it is spent elsewhere. Advertising agencies may be flatfooted in responding to the change, Advertisers cannot find what they need from the big agencies, which tend to be biased towards television advertising. Small agencies are more flexible and open minded to these changes but the likes of WPP can be a bit slow to respond. Nestle, once one of the country’s biggest advertisers has slashed the amount it spends on television advertising. Andrew Harrison, its Marketing Director, says “This is a start of a trend towards more rounded communications. And the big agencies like WPP need to look at offering more than just the traditional services….” Despite all this rhetoric there is no evidence yet that advertising agencies, or the marketing departments of Clients understand the meaning of the word communications. And herein lies the real problem, the complete lack of understanding of what the communication process is all about. Sending a message by itself isnt sufficient to create an act of communication; there needs to be a response to a message as well. To illustrate this point, think of a radio station broadcasting late at night without a single listener tuned in. You dont have to argue about trees falling in an empty forest to agree that no communication has occurred here. In the same way, when you have a speaker talking to one or more people who arent listening, there is no communication taking place. For communication to take place, you must have a message sender and a message receiver and the two sides must talk to each other to understand what the other is thinking/doing. Advertising occurs when a group becomes too large for all members to contribute. One aspect of advertising is an unequal amount of speaking. Advertisers deliver their information to the mass audience, with limited opportunities, if any, for feedback. The audience, therefore, is unable to talk back in a two-way conversation the way they might in a small group setting and as a result, do not feel involved, do not feel that the message has relevance to them as an individual. Advertising views communication as something one person does to others. In this linear communication model, communication is like giving an injection: a sender encodes ideas and feeling into some sort of message and then injects them by means of a channel (TV, Newspapers, radio, etc). Despite its simplicity, the linear view of communication isnt completely accurate. For one thing it makes the questionable assumption that all communication involves encoding. A more obvious problem of the linear model is its suggestion that communication flows in one direction, from sender to receiver. However, most types of communication, especially the interpersonal variety, are two-way exchanges. To put it differently, advertisings linear view ignores the fact that receivers react to messages by sending messages of their own. And if the message sender is not listening in turn? Lack of communication competence. Most advertising agencies and clients lack the skills of communication, advertising messages are more carefully prepared than interpersonal communication and yet message understandability tends to be lower. Advertisements are more carefully prepared because gatekeepers (those who prepare and send out messages) are more cautious about what they say to large audiences than they are to audiences of one or just a few people. They check their facts more carefully and they prepare their syntax and vocabulary more precisely. And yet, because their audience contributes much less feedback, the source cannot correct any lapse in interest or understanding, so people are more likely to misinterpret what they hear or read over the mass media. It is important to note, of course, that just because mediated messages are more carefully prepared, they are not necessarily more accurate. Gatekeepers have a way of looking at the world based on personal beliefs or motivations. This world view sometimes tends to make media messages inaccurate. Advertising ignores communications theory. As the mass media have matured, the behavioural dynamics of perception and interaction, which are not addressed by advertising agencies, have become critical to the re-definition of media and its role in marketing communications. With passive, one way, forms of advertising such as media display or television advertising, there is a certainty of a degree of non-responsiveness. However, with interactive marketing communication techniques, there is a commitment to participate, which, in turn leads to a set of possibilities, which are significantly different in how they affect the communication process itself. All advertising is a form of learning, with the advertiser asking potential customers to change their behaviour once they have understood the benefits of the product or service on offer. The anticipation of response generated through interactive marketing communication, means that the recipients will approach the data with a commitment to read and learn it. In other words interactive marketing communication turns passive advertising into active advertising and actually alters behaviour during the learning process . It also cuts through the psychological barriers, which prevent an individual from changing brands. People tend to filter out information they do not want to hear and this alters the effectiveness of advertising in quite a dramatic way. The purchasers decision is invariably a compromise and this leads to a certain amount of anxiety. The worry that perhaps the purchase decision was not the best or right one. In order to minimise this anxiety the purchaser seeks to reinforce their choice and begins to take more notice of their chosen products advertising. And, at the same time, the purchaser deliberately suppresses data, which might challenge their personal decision, by ignoring the advertising of competitive brands. People are often loyal to a brand simply because they do not want to readdress a decision that they have already made. The opportunity to screen out such undesired data always exists when media advertisements have to stand on their own and fight for attention. Despite all this, lets repeat what we suggested at the beginning of this chapter, there is still no evidence yet that advertising agencies, or the marketing departments of Clients really understand the meaning of the word communications. They are making progress in some areas but there is clearly a whole lot more to be done. Paul Ashby pioneered interactive communication to the advertising and marketing communities some twenty-five years ago. The communication issues he addresses have been neglected during the explosive grown of advertising in the 60s, 70s and 80s, these are Cognitive Dissonance, Selective Retention and Selective Exposure. Would you like to discover the incredible results to be attained by using interactive communication? International Flower Delivery

By Eddie Tobey As our global community continues to expand we often find ourselves with friends and families who live in countries outside of the U.S. In the past this caused somewhat of a dilemma if a person wanted to send a gift of flowers internationally. It was not as simple as calling the local florist; it was almost impossible to find a florist who could wire transfer the order to another florist in a different country. This has changed, however, because of the availability of resources via the Internet. Do a simple search in any major search engine for International Flower Delivery and you will yield hundreds of results. Many companies are now offering international flower delivery and it is usually just as simple as ordering domestically. Many online flower companies have access to florists worldwide. It is usually simple to find an online company, select your product and specify that you need the order to be shipped internationally. The company will then relay your order to the affiliate florist in that area and your flowers will be delivered. Some companies may charge a processing fee for international flower delivery orders and others will not. The same holds true if the recipient resides in a very small or rural area where flower delivery may take additional time. Some companies will also have a delay in delivery to verify the recipients address. With all flower delivery orders but especially true with international orders, it is very important to have the correct address including spellings for street and city names. Flower Delivery Info provides information on same day, next day, international, and online flower delivery in various regions Flower Delivery Info is the sister site of Flower Bulbs Web.
