Natural Skin Care for Your Children

By Danny Siegenthaler The skin of your children is soft, wrinkle free, supple, smooth and usually unblemished. “Smooth as a babys bottom”, is an expression used to indicate that some object or material has an extremely smooth finish or is smooth to the touch, just like a babys bottom. Young skin is smooth and has a youthful appearance - of course, its young. As children grow up and their bodies start to mature, so to does their skin - teenagers often get acne and in some cases this can even lead to permanent scaring on their faces. But there is another less obvious aging process that has a long term rather than a short term effect on the health and vitality of our skin - the sun. Did you know, that 50% of exposure to the sun is done before we are 20? As young kids, we spend vast amounts of time outside and play in the sun, on the beach, in the snow, on playgrounds and so on. The amount of UV radiation that our skin is exposed to is huge. The effects of this exposure however, is not obvious except for the occasional sunburn, but once that heals, there is little evidence of long-term damage. That is unless you could look below the surface of the skin. The damage of UV radiation is focused on the dermis of our skin, this is where it has the greatest impact and that is where the long-term damage accumulates. Yes, the damage is cumulative. More UV exposure, more damage. The media has helped to promote awareness of the risks of skin cancer due to excessive exposure to the sun, but rarely do we hear about other factors, such as premature signs of aging of our skin. Break down of collage, dehydration, and so on. Often it is not until we reach our late 20s or early 30s that we start seeing the first little fine lines and begin to think about our skin care on a more serious level. But by now, most of the damage has already been done and all we are doing is to try to prevent the inevitable. So, what should we do? Well, the first step is to start educating our children. Babies are used to having creams and lotions put on their bodies. So why do we stop when the nappy period of their lives is over? It is at this point that children should be encouraged to put natural creams and lotions on their bodies after they have a shower or a bath. From the time they go to kindergarten, if not earlier, they will be spending many hours outdoors and sure we use the sunscreens, hats and generally try to keep the sun off their bare skin, but at the same time, we should encourage the use of natural skin care creams and lotions to protect, nourish, hydrate and cleanse their young and tender skin. For example, introducing your children to using natural soaps rather than the harsh, commercially available types, will help their skin maintain its natural pH balance and thus the skins Acid Mantel. Of course when they get grease or oil on their skin you may need to use a more powerful cleaner, but there are plenty of natural soaps available for all skin cleansing jobs. Wildcrafteds Heavenly Hand & Body Wash is perfectly able to get rid of stubborn dirt and grime and at the same time it is kind and nourishing to their skin. Teach your children to use natural hand creams. The skin on our hands gets more ware and tear then any other part using a good hand cream will help to keep their skin soft, supple and healthy. Teach them to use a natural moisturising cream on their face and on their body. Choose a natural moisturiser thats suitable for Normal skin, as children do not tend to have oily or dry skin, this usually starts around the time of puberty. If you continue teaching your children from an early age to use natural skin care products on their skin, they will naturally continue this process and their skin will thank you and them in the long term. The Cox-2 Prescription Painkillers Are Back?

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Ian_Mason] Ian Mason This past week, the FDA held a meeting in order to decide what should be done about Mercks Vioxx and Pfizers Bextra and Celebrex. The Food and Drug Administration originally intended to ban these pain medications. However, this was challenged by a series of obstacles. The Cox-2 painkiller prescription medications are back due to popular demand! In spite of the life-threatening side-effects such as heart attacks, many patients feel that the medications have changed their lives for the good. Many patients claim that drugs such as Vioxx have brought them from living in a wheelchair (practically paralyzed by chronic pain) to living something close to a normal life. These people have been counting down the number of pills (days) they have left until life as they know it is over; and some decided to stand up and make their point at the FDA meeting. One woman even stated that shed sign any waivers or consent agreements she needed to in order to keep the life she has. No other known medications can help these people. Currently, without the Cox-2 drugs, a life of paralyzing pain is the only other option. For some patients, the benefits outweigh the risks by a longshot. The FDA has decided against the ban on Cox-2 prescription medications, but has prohibited the advertising of these drugs directly to consumers. Direct-to-consumer (DTC) advertising consists of methods such as television and radio commercials, etc. The reintroduction of Vioxx and acceptance of Celebrex/Bextra back into the health industry are both possibly great decisions. However, in order to make it work, a decent amount of reform is necessary to ensure patient safety and understanding. Well see what happens. Although the Cox-2 drugs have been reintroduced or accepted into the market, we at Shoppe.MD will stand by our 2004 decision to discontinue the sale of prescriptions for Vioxx, Celebrex, and Bextra. Shoppe.MD online pharmacy does not plan on reintroducing these medications in the future. If you have a difficulty with pain, please talk to your doctor in person. Telephones - A History - The First Construction

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Michael_Russell]Michael Russell In this next part in our series on the history of the telephone, we’re going to pick up with the construction of the first regular telephone line. After Bell’s completion of the telephone in 1876 the next step was making it so that this invention could be used by everybody. So in 1877, construction of the first regular telephone line, which ran from Boston to Somerville, Massachusetts, was finished. By the end of 1880 there were over 47,900 telephones in the United States and in 1881 a telephone service from Boston to Providence was set up. Then in 1892, they started a service between New York and Chicago. Two years later, in 1894, a service began between New York and Boston but it wasn’t until 1915 that transcontinental service by overhead wire was created. Backtracking a bit, the first switchboard, what we now call 411 service, was set up in Boston in 1877. Then on January 17, 1882, Leroy Firman got his first patent for a telephone switchboard. The first telephone exchange was set up in New Haven in 1878. The first telephones were leased to people in pairs. Each person was required to put up his own line in order to connect with another. Finally, in 1889, a Kansas City undertaker by the name of Almon B. Strowger invented a switch that could connect one line to any one of 100 lines using a series of relays and sliders. This switch came to be known as the Strowger Switch and it was still being used by telephone offices over 100 years later. Strowger was given a patent in 1891 for his first automatic telephone exchange. The very first exchange that used the Strowger Switch was set up in La Porte, Indiana in 1892. At first, subscribers to the service had a button on their telephone that produced the required number of pulses by tapping on it. It wasn’t until 1896 that one of Strowger’s assistants invented the rotary dial. This ultimately replaced the button and is still in use on telephones today, mostly for novelty purposes. In 1943, Philadelphia was the last city to give up dual service for both button and pulse dialling. The first touch tone system, which used tones in the voice frequency range instead of pulses used by rotary dials, was installed in Baltimore, Maryland in 1941. Operators in a central switching office pushed the buttons to make this work. The problem was, it was just too expensive for general use by the public, but the Bell Telephone Company, named after the man credited with the invention of the phone, was still interested in the touch tone system because it increased the speed of dialling. The answer to this problem came in the 1960s when low cost transistors and circuit components made the cost effective use of touch tone telephones in a person’s home a real possibility. Through much testing, positioning of the buttons limited errors and increased dialling speed even more. The touch tone phone got its big preview at the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair, where it was a huge success. ——————————————————- Michael Russell Your Independent guide to [http://telephone-guides.com/]Telephones ——————————————————- Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Michael_Russell http://EzineArticles.com/?Telephones—A-History—The-First-Construction&id=171139 phentermine prescription where can i order phentermine order phentermine phentermine on line no prescription

Relationship Advice: Closeness and Connection

By Jeff Herring In my work with couples, certain themes have emerged that can help us understand how a couple that was once close can drift so far apart. How couples drift apart 1) Life got in the way. Somehow, in the midst of the hustle and bustle of everyday life, couples seem to forget about each other. The initial closeness they once felt has been damaged by focus on work, the bills, the kids, you name it. 2) Each takes the other for granted. This can slowly eat away at any connection a couple might feel. What makes it worse is that it is so very easy to do. Keeping priorities straight in our stressful lives can be very difficult. We get so caught up in simply living that we forget about making a life with our partner. 3) Each stops treating the other well. Somehow we succumb to the notion that all the things we used to do that brought us together are no longer necessary. It’s like the old joke about the couple that had been married for several years and one day the wife said to the husband, “You never say you love me anymore!” The husband responds with, “Well, dear, I told you I loved you on our wedding day. If anything changes, I’ll let you know.” 4) Resentments are held. Old grudges, hurts and resentments are a cancer that can eat away at the closeness of a couple. 5) Communication stops. This is the most frequent reason given by couples as a factor in their drifting apart. Once a couple stops communicating, it’s just a matter of time before the roommate syndrome sets in. If you recognize your relationship in the above examples, hang in there; you are not alone and there is a way out. Couples don’t plan on growing apart, they simply drift apart over time. Just the opposite is true about growing closer again. You don’t just drift into it, you intentionally take action designed to grow closer together. Here are some tips from the couples I’ve worked with that have helped them grow closer again. How couples can get close again 1) Have a conversation about how you first met and what first attracted you to each other. 2) Talk about the times you have felt the most connected. Then list the things you did that helped create that closeness. Then do those things again. 3) Mention something your partner did that you enjoyed. For example, “I loved it today when you gave me a break from the kids/ held my hand/ hugged me/helped me at the office, etc.” 4) Discover what your partner’s “love language” is. Do they most need to see it, hear it, or feel it in order to feel most loved? If you don’t know, ask. 5) Ask your partner what their “perfect day” would be like and then create as much of it as you can. 6) Renew and/or rewrite your vows. Who says we can say these important words only once? Renewing vows, commitments and words of love can rapidly and powerfully bring a couple closer together. These are just a few suggestions for the road back to closeness and connection. I would love to hear from couples about how they have made the journey back to closeness after drifting apart. 7 Great Ways to Propose to Your Man

By Partha Mitra So you meet the man of your dreams. Usually it is the cafeteria or restaurant near your office, or the shopping mall or the jogging park. And then comes a series of meeting. You like go out with him for movies, spend weekends. You decide that you feel great with him and can be the Friends for Life. Then you are stuck!! You think he loves you, but heres the Big Problem. You do not know for sure! You have searched for hints, asked him about his girlfriends, tried to find out if he misses you, talked about his views of life Are you confused how to start the right relationship or propose to your man? Everyone told you that it is a mans job to pop the question. But what if you have been dying to do so? Not to worry, go ahead. Just remember to follow these points. 1) Make him feel special Take him to his favorite restaurant. Request his special song to be played and order his favorite food. If he is comfortable and relaxed, you will have his attention. 2) Get him in a romantic mood Invite him to your place and treat him to the best single malt. Make sure that you are dressed in your sexy best. Try something that is in good taste, like put on a soft music. And you should not be disturbed by unwelcome calls. 3) Catch him in the right spirit Do Not propose to him on a day when hes had it bad at work. Or say, hes upset about something. Gauge his mood and only then go ahead. And again remember that being too sympathetic ruins things. On such a day, it is often wise to lend him a silent mental support. You are his best friend, and if he needs your time, gladly spend time without discussing about your relationship. 4) Give him subtle hints It is best to let him know of your intention in advance. But do it subtly. Say for example, tell him, you need to talk to him about something important. It shouldnt come as a surprise. 5) Say it with confidence Do not beat about the bush or show your nervousness. Look into his eyes and say it with confidence. He will love you even more for that. 6) Avoid Overdoing Do not show your desperation. Otherwise you might lose your guy. 7) Be prepared for the worst That is if it doesnt go the way you thought it would. Just dont cry before him. All set? My good lucks to you. The Woman Men adore… and Never Want to Leave How compatible you are with your date. Save on Catering - Plan a Tantalizing, yet Wallet-Friendly, Menu for your Wedding Reception

By Cori Locklin Suffering from catering sticker shock? You betcha! You will allocate about 50% of your entire wedding budget to wining and dining your guests. If youre already dreading the look on their faces when offered bread and water, browse through these favorite money saving tips. Budget-savvy brides can get creative and wow their guests with a mouthwatering and memorable meal that wont maximize their catering budget. Eliminate Courses - Break from the five course mold its tedious and expensive. Why not serve a 3 course meal thats extraordinary? Eliminating a soup, salad, or an extra dessert at your wedding reception will go unnoticed and will free up some of your catering budget for what really excites you. Appetizer Tables - Passed hors d’oeuvres, while elegant, can drain your catering budget. Consider instead an appetizer table. And dont fret that this decision will scream low end. Infuse the table with creative displays; even a vegetable tray can be done to evoke the ultimate in class and panache. A Casual Affair - The most stylish events are not always black tie. A recent trend has brides breaking from the stuffy formal wedding reception and embracing a more casual and festive atmosphere. Consider instead a down-home barbeque, a New England Clambake, a Mexican Fiesta. With a little insight and ingenuity, you can serve these relaxed themes in a manner thats positively chic. A Non-Dinner Affair - Dinner is the most expensive meal to serve. Save on catering by considering a brunch, lunch or even a dessert reception. Your wedding budget will thank you. A Cocktail Reception - Along those lines, consider a menu consisting entirely of hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. If your wedding reception does not coincide with a meal time, a cocktail and appetizer reception is perfectly acceptable. Since these events typically run for only two hours, in addition to savings on catering - location, staffing and other rental fees are also considerably reduced. Get Creative With A Homemade Wedding Invitation

By Diane Winter Weddings are extremely expensive nowadays. It can be very hard to stay within budget without using a little creativity. One way that can save you a lot of money is to use homemade wedding invitations. By printing the invitation yourself and adding something to it to give it a nice look, you can have homemade wedding invitations that look like they were bought for a pretty penny. Getting Started On Your Homemade Wedding Invitation The first thing to do in starting your homemade wedding invitation is to decide whether you want to just go at it on your own or whether you prefer a little help. If you want some help with your homemade wedding invitation there are a number of sites that make it easy to design the invitation online. Basically you can search for designs that look good to you, pick the font and size of lettering, and then supply the information that needs to be conveyed to your guests. Many sites with have examples of wording that you can use. I highly recommend that you choose one of these rather than coming up with something on your own to be sure that you are using proper etiquette. When it comes to weddings, people get easily offended. So to avoid any arguments, pick something safe. Using these online templates makes it easy to get going on your homemade wedding invitation and it makes the invitation read as if you had bought the invitation through a catalog. Printing Your Homemade Wedding Invitation If you are able to print the homemade wedding invitations at home, you can save a lot of money. You wont want to use any old paper. Instead find something that looks nice. Some websites sale invitation paper for a low price. So it is worth looking. The most expensive thing you will have to pay for with your homemade wedding invitation is the ink for printing. So overall this is a bargain way to go. If you arent able to print the homemade wedding invitation from your home computer, you may want to design the invitation and then take it to a print shop on a CD to be printed. Typically you can find nice paper at the print shop and some places dont mind using the paper you bring in. Once you have the invitation printed, you can spruce it up by adding a colorful sheet at a border for the invitation. By doing this or coming up with other creative ideas to add something to the invitation, you can give your homemade wedding invitation a more personal style. For more information on how to create your homemade wedding invitation, to use online templates, or to purchase the paper for your homemade wedding invitations simply go to http://www.weddinginvitationtips.com. You can find everything you need to save money on your invitations. Marketing for Local Artists; Poetry, Art, Sculpture, Photography or Paintings

By Lance Winslow As a freelance marketing consultant in my retirement often small business people will approach me and ask my advice to help them market their art business. One thing I find interesting is most are very Internet Literate and have some marketing savvy as well. This sure helps when we sit down to discuss things they might do to market better and sell more of their art, sculptures, paintings, photography or artistic creations whatever they might be. Do you own a small business, which produces art? I would say that you should put your efforts in any business where it will do the most good. So in the case of a local artist; Loaning art with price tags and business cards on the frames to Hotels, Time Shares, Restaurants, travel centers, airport lobbies, visitor bureaus, real estate offices, chambers of commerce; makes sense. Plus writing articles for print in Tourist information material, newspapers, magazines, also post them online. Collections of poetry or articles in eBooks compilations, in various categories; Seasonal “Holiday Poetry,” “Local Poetry,” “Best Poetry of 2007″ mix and match compilations to give away and perhaps Illustrated eBooks with poetry for each picture. Consider also a weekly or monthly Ezine with the latest sculptures, progress, art, etc. Grass roots; Flyers on Pizza Boxes, Art Exhibits, flyers at Chamber, visitors centers, inserts in visitor information, A-Frame Signage, Roadside signs with web-address this highway adopted by YourWebSite.com, etc. What is so great is there are many sources on the Internet to find other ideas such as Judy Cullins website on marketing online and her advice is great and she is right. Everyone should invest in reading her articles or reading her books in my opinion. It sure beats the hard way. And well I ought to know having built my business from scratch. I hope this article will propel thought into 2007. “Lance Winslow” - Online Think Tank forum board. How to Kiss Girls, From The Approach to the Bedroom

By James Brito Kissing girls: It’s meant to be fun. If you’re nervous about kissing women, or see it as only a gateway towards sex, you’re missing out. In fact, the more you take your time with kissing and truly enjoy it, the more chances you have of enjoying physical intimacy with a girl. So let me show you how to kiss girls–and enjoy it! If you’ve never kissed before, the best thing you can possibly do is RELAX. It isn’t a big deal if you muck up your first kiss! Girls are very understanding, and you can actually laugh about it. I know so many couples who joke about their first kiss. The first kiss most people have is an awkward one, so girls will forgive you if it’s not perfect! Next, learn proper kissing technique. That means knowing how to move in for the kiss, controlling your tempo, kissing for affection, and kissing for intimacy. There are lots of websites out there, but I like this site the best for kissing girls the RIGHT ways. You’ll get pictures and everything about what’s right and what’s wrong. I’m going to cover two particular areas of kissing in this column: kissing for affection, and kissing for intimacy. First let’s talk about kissing for intimacy. Say you’re on a date and want to move things to the next level. The best way to do it is to talk about how you’d like to kiss her. As one guru, Craig, says, “Talking about sex is the first step towards having it.” Likewise, talking about kissing is the first step towards actual kissing. It will relax both of you and, if said in a relaxed, confident, NOT desperate tone, can really excite a girl. Once you do get to kissing, kiss with passion: don’t half-job it! Use your arms, your body: press into her, touch her face with your hands, stroke her hair. All these things show you’re serious about intimacy and want her in the worst way. If she pulls in, you’re doing great. Pulls back, just slow it down. Just because she doesn’t do it with the same passion as you doesn’t mean she wants it. A lot of times girls want to take things slower than guys. That’s fine: match her tempo. Kiss her on the neck, the cheeks, all over. Eventually that will warm her up. When she starts to get into it (moaning, moving closer to you, grabbing you back), you can start kissing her in her erogenous zones all over the body. Remember, kissing isn’t just on the lips! If you really want to get intimate, kiss her below the neck–on her thighs, on her hips (very sensitive area!) and even on her feet. Not to mention the obvious areas. :) This should guarantee you a great night. But kissing doesn’t end with sex! Too many guys make that mistake. Sex is only the BEGINNING of the kissing stage! As you’re performing, remember to kiss her all over her body, particularly on the neck and breasts. Show that you’re not interested just in a quick act–you want to be passionate and intimate, as well. Kissing achieves this purpose, and will make the girl eager to do it again! For affection, kissing is the best. As I say in my e-book and audio articles, women LOVE surprises, so nothing shows you love your girlfriend (or wife) like a surprise, spontaneous kiss out of nowhere! She’ll love it, and thank you for it. She’ll also reward you for it, by staying with you and treating you great. Happy wife, happy life! The same goes with girlfriends. Don’t be surprised if she starts bringing you breakfast in bed, buying you presents, acting a lot nicer, when you give her lots of kisses out of nowhere, just to remind her that you love her. This works! Remember, kissing is meant to be FUN. Once you see the fun and enjoyable side of kissing, you’ll surely want more and more. As an old Chinese proverb goes, “Kissing is like drinking tea with a tea strainer: you can never get enough.” To learn more great kissing techniques, go to: http://www.kissing101.net Dating expert, James Brito, author of “How to Be Irresistible to Women,” delves into the secrets of attraction and seduction. Lose Ugly Belly Fat - Building A Better Body One Brick At A Time

By Damian Ces The quest to develop a stunningly fit, lean and attractive body is a long, slow journey. It’s not something you achieve overnight by popping a few pills or strapping an electric gizmo to your belly. Which reminds me, did you know that by the time the FTC finally blew the whistle on the electronic ab belt scam, the makers of those “ab zappers” had swindled over $100 million dollars from unsuspecting consumers? Fortunately, some of those companies had to pay it back, and then some! The FTC charged three companies - Fast Abs, Ab Tronic and Ab Energizer - with false advertising and deceptive warranty practices for these “ABSurd” products. But I digress back to what I was saying about the journey to a better body… Last week I looked out my window, and where there was once nothing but a dirt-filled empty lot, there stood a sprawling six story brick condo complex. If someone looked at this massive completed structure for the first time, they might not be impressed. However, since I observed the entire construction process unfold from my living room window, I was impressed - amazed even - at what goes into erecting this kind of structure. I remember watching the crew humming around diligently every day like busy bees, laying one brick after another. From one day to the next, it didn’t seem like much changed. But slowly, over a period of a year and a half, I watched the building gradually morph into the finished product. When you look at someone with an incredible body as a finished product, you often tend to dismiss the long, arduous journey and hard work it took to build that body. Unless you were side by side with that person in the gym (and in the kitchen), observing the work involved, it’s easy to attribute such a chiseled physique to genetics or give credit to a supplement (they just took product XYZ and voila - overnight abs). What you don’t see or appreciate are all the months and years of sweat and hard work.
